Welcome
Hello
Message from our President
I invite you to join us this year as we celebrate our 40th anniversary of serving residents in Monroe County. 2026 will be a very special year for the Good Shepherd Center as several events are planned to commemorate this occasion.
Our signature event will be our 3rd annual GALA on August 15th at the Tellico Village Yacht Club. Tickets will be available beginning May 15th.
On July 4th the Good Shepherd Center will begin our fund-raising raffle featuring two electric bikes. The winner will be announced on November 1st at 2:00pm. Watch for ticket sales locations on our Facebook page.
The Good Shepherd Center will be participating in several local festivals in 2026 including the Monroe County Balloon Festival, the Sweetwater Blooms, Bluegrass and BBQ Festival and the Taste of Monroe. Stop by and meet the newest addition to our team, Grace, and learn about her story.
All of us at the Center continue striving to fulfill our mission:
The mission of the Good Shepherd Center is to speak into the lives with compassion, respect, and dignity, providing a better way to meet a core of essential needs and other ministry support to our struggling Monroe County neighbors-while encouraging them to reach for self-sufficiency.
In 2025, more families were provided with food, clothing, vouchers for emergency assistance on utility bills, medical care, prescriptions, and school supplies than ever before. I want to thank our dedicated volunteers, board members, staff, individual contributors, local businesses and churches who made it possible to serve our community at unprecedented levels.
We pray you will join us as we celebrate 40 years of continuous service in Monroe County in 2026.
For the Good Shepherd Board of Directors
Mike Engelhaupt, Board President
